On March 26, 2024, Hunan Xiangyi Laboratory Instrument Development Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Xiangyi) organized and held a project kick-off meeting and project implementation plan validation meeting for the key special project “Ultra-high-speed Centrifuge”
Xiangyi formed the ultracentrifuge R&D team with 8 units, including Hunan University, Comprehensive Technical and Economic Research Institute of Instrumentation of Mechanical Industry, Wuhan Institute of Virus Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Central South University, Shanghai Xincheng Medical Technology Co, Ltd, National Center for Nanoscience, and Bgi Genomics Co., Ltd. The project is funded by the government with CNY 10 million and the R&D cycle is expected to last 3 years. The goal is to realize the mass production of commercial-type ultracentrifuge (above 100000rpm, centrifugal force ≥600000xg).
